well, its too bad because we dont get conference here...but my companion and i printed out the talks so im grateful we get that much...the work is definetly moving here and i truly can testify that the Lords hand is truly helping us...my testimony continues to grow here on mission...i truly feel the Saviors love, as i continue to do the will of the Father...i dont even know where ill be if i wasnt here...

as time winds down, im doing my best to endure just as the Savior did...mission is going great...thank you for your encouraging emails, they truly do strenthen me and helps me to do better...have a great week!!!

hello family and friends...

This past week was another great one for us...we have two great sisters who will be baptized this week, so we are soo excited for that...the Lord has truly assisted us here in Rongai...we have been fasting and praying that the Lord may help us find and in result the Lord has truly helped us...we have more people now than i have ever had since i have been here...there are soo many miracles in our district that are soo powerful and sacred to me...well, on the other side, it has been really hot...the sun is no joke here for sure...just last week i heard from some of the people that a big earthquake hit Samoa...i pray that everyone there will be comforted at this time of need...Prayer has been a true spiritual gift to me since i have been on mission...in any given time the Lord is there to hear your sincere prayer...not just when you need something, but to always thank Him for His tender Love and to express gratitude...He is truly a 911 call in time of need and the 411 to know where to go and what to do...as we offer up our sincere prayers to Him, He will guide and direct us for good through His Spirit...thank you for all your encouraging emails and for your love...look forward to hearing from you all soon...have a great week...

hello family and friends...

it is great to hear from some of you and for your powerful testimonies you have...this past week ive received a new companion...im training him on mission and he is great...i thought my days of training were over, but its another task that the Lord wants me to do...its the 3rd elder that im training and it is always great to see the energy of of a new missionary...he is an elder from Botswana...his name is Elder Mangenela...so far i have learned so much from him...it is soo amazing the testimonies that these African elders have...their conversion stroies are profound...last sunday brother Michael was baptized and maybe in 2 weeks his wife will be baptized...they are such a powerful family and i look forward to their contribution in the church...there hasnt been much going on here in Rongai...we are still searching...the weather is something else though...it is blazing hot...about an average of 90degrees a day...the food here is still desirous to the taste...it does make me love Kenya soo much...haha...many of the members have taught me how to make most of these dishes, so it will be nice to still eat it when i get home...its truly going to be interesting how i will adjust to the life back home...but for now all im worrying about is Enduring...tomorrow is our Zone Conference, so im looking forward to that...i have been assigned to give a recitation talk on Doctrine Covenants section 4...ive been focusing on our desires...if we have the desire to serve God we are called to the work...it doesnt matter if we are set apart or not...we are able to serve God as long as we have the desire to do so...this work is amazing and it is soo great to bring a change to the people of Kenya...may the Lord bless you all as you engage yourself in His work...have a wonderful week and hope to hear from you all soon =)

Hello family and friends..

These past couple of weeks have been pretty good.. We had stake conference this past sunday and it was very nice...the theme was on Family...we were truly edified by the spirit on how families need to work as one...the messages by the speakers were well presented...one of the talks that stood out to me was given by the second counselor in the stake presidency he stated " No matter what success you have outside the walls of your home,it will never make up or excuse failure within the home." its profound eh??? Please take it and live it...its true...well, it was also soo great to see all the people from my first area which was Buru Buru...most of the people i baptized were there and we rejoiced together and thought of all the good times we had...they are soo faithful and still standing firm in the gospel...nothing makes me happy more than to hear that those my comp and i taught and baptized are still keeping the faith and growing in the gospel...i talked to brother Omullo...my companion and i baptized him and his family when i was in Buru Buru...he told me something that almost brought tears to my eyes...he told me " Aiono, i dont know where i'll be if it wasnt for you and your companion Elder Chikapa, we were lost and now we know this is Gods Kingdom, my family and i will never forget you." this past August the Omullo family went to the temple in South Africa to be sealed for time and all eternity...how great is this work where we may be able to bring this gospel to others and bring eternal joy and happiness to them...we are true participants in the greatest cause of all mankind...God loves us...His plan is great and perfect...the gospel is perfect...Christ Lives...the gospel has been restored in its fullest...this is the fullness of times and truly the last days where the savior shall come and reign...may we put our shoulders to the wheel and move this work forward...let us seek and may that promise be fulfilled that we may find...thank you for all your encouraging emails and for your wonderful prayers that truly sustains me through the week...have a great week!!! =)

hello family and friends...

it is great to hear from you... there is nothing better than to check my inbox and see a message from the people i love...

this past week was an okay one...we are still searching and we found some potential people that we can hopefully see during this coming week...we have set a baptism date for one of our investigators for the 30th of this month, so we are excited for that...he is such a powerful man and so desirous to learn...he even went to the distribution center to buy himself a pair of scriptures...pretty great eh???

well, this past Wednesday was our mission tour...it was such an awesome experience to be able to listen and to be edified by a General Authority...Elder Redlund and his wife are amazing and they taught us with power...

all the missionaries in the mission were supposed to prepare a 5min talk on the Atonement and only 2 missionaries were chosen to present their talk...they just chose that same day...to my surprise i was one of them that was chosen to give this talk and a sister also...I was somewhat nervous because i was going to speak in front of a General Authority and also the whole mission...the spirit was definitely there...as i spoke, i was not nervous at all, you can say that i was filled with the Holy Ghost...at mission tour we also sang " I Stand All Amazed"...it turned out to be good...as i prepared this talk, i couldnt stop thinking about the things that Christ had to bear...it is soo amazing of the things He did so we may have Eternal Life...one of the hymns i love is "There is a Green Hill Far Away" in the second verse it says "We may not know, we cannot tell, what things He had to bear, but we do know it was for us He hung and suffered there"... we may not know all the things Christ had to overcome, but i do know it was for our Eternal Salvation...For he did take upon Himself the sins of all mankind...3 days later He rose and the Atonement was complete...Even when the time comes that everyone will enjoy the gift of the Resurrection and Immortality...but those who endure to the end by keeping the commandments of God and strive to always do whats right, will enjoy the blessings of Immortality in a place of everlasting Joy, peace, and Happiness with Our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ...Christ lives and guides us through a living prophet today even Thomas S. Monson...He is truly the Life and the Resurrection, for no one can enter into the Kingdom of God unless through Him...He is the Alpha and the Omega...the creator of both Heaven and Earth...Our Savior, Redeemer, Master, and King...He does stand on the right hand of God today...that Hymn truly says it all...

I do stand all amazed at His love for me... May we live up to His expectations and always remember what he had to go through for us...

have a wonderful week...
